A cinnamon roll is a sweet roll served commonly in Northern Europe and North America. In Denmark, it is the most common form of wienerbrød and is known as Kanelsnegl; ‘cinnamon snail’. In North America, its common use is as breakfast or dessert.
Roll out on a floured surface into a 15 by 9-inch rectangle. Spread melted butter all over dough. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over buttered dough. Sprinkle with walnuts, pecans, or raisins if desired.
